About Lao Wei | laowe's club

I’m Lao Wei.

This site is everything I make, sell, and think worth your attention — kept in one place, under one domain. Visitors go from browsing to paid without third-party detours; I push to git when I want to add a testimonial or change a price.

I ship indie products and take on a small number of consulting clients. If you’re wiring up a first paid product, or just want a cleaner conversion path, the products and services pages are the starting point.

Past client feedback lives on the testimonials — every link in there is real and traceable.

Lately I’ve been:

Maintaining this site and folding past projects into it
Taking on 1–2 new consulting clients per month (limited slots)
Writing notes about indie development — the full list lives on what I’m doing now

Stack

For the curious, here’s what runs this site. Same list for anyone building something similar:

Framework: Astro on Cloudflare Pages
Payments: Stripe for international cards, Creem for WeChat Pay + Alipay
Booking: Cal.com (self-hosted) for slots
Storage: Cloudflare R2 for digital artifacts
Email: Resend for order receipts and download links
Analytics: Plausible — self-hosted, lightweight, GDPR-friendly
Source: GitHub, deploys on push

The stack will drift over time. None of these are endorsements — pick what fits your project.

FAQ

How fast will I get the download link?

Digital purchases trigger a webhook within a few seconds; you'll see the link in your inbox within a minute. The signed R2 URL is valid for 10 minutes — save the file locally. If you don't see it, check spam and reply to the order email for a fresh link.

Can I get a refund?

Within 7 days of purchase, if the download hasn't worked or the service hasn't happened, reply to the order email and we'll refund. No questions asked. Rescheduling a booked service is free; cancellations fall under the same 7-day window.

Is WeChat / Alipay checkout safe?

WeChat Pay and Alipay run through Creem (a merchant of record), so this site never sees your payment credentials. The checkout pages live under Creem's HTTPS domain — the lock icon in your browser is the trust signal to look for.

Do you issue invoices?

I'm a sole proprietor at the moment, so the payment-receipt email is the official record. If you need a company-name invoice, leave the company name, tax ID, and billing email in the order notes — Creem handles the paperwork from there.
